Born in 1987, Florian grew up in the Franconian countryside. In 2012 he graduated from University of Bayreuth in Theater and Media Studies and 2018 in Feature Film Directing from University of Television and Film Munich. During that time he became part of the performance group KAPITÆL ZWEI KOLEKTIF and started his collaboration with theatre director Ersan Mondtag. In 2015 he was chosen to participate at the MEXICAN FILM RESIDENCY in Tepoztlán to work on his thesis and first feature film PAMPARIOS which went on to premiere at VISIONS DU RÈEL in 2018. In 2019 he started working with theatre director Ulrich Rasche. He edited the short film HANDBOOK by Pavel Mozhar which went on to win the international competition at IDFA Amsterdam in 2021. The stage production NORA, his first collaboration with Felicitas Brucker was invited to BERLINER THEATERTREFFEN in 2023. Florian currently lives in Berlin.
